Company

We are looking for a talented Procurement Category Manager to join our growing Procurement & Supply Chain team! As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of materials and services, vendor management, and contract administration. You will play a key role in ensuring that we are getting the best value for our money and mitigating risks associated with our procurement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct spend analysis and vendor base analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories of materials and services.
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Evaluate and compare quotes from vendors, and negotiate contracts to achieve the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding new vendors, conducting performance evaluations, and resolving any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, finance, and project management, to ensure successful procurement outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices in procurement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on category management (required).
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS 1 Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  
  • Experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba) a plus.
