Senior Geotechnical Engineer

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Ramboll, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team on challenging and rewarding projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret geotechnical investigation reports and determine appropriate geotechnical design parameters.
- Analyze geo-seismic hazards (preferred but not required).
- Design and implement ground improvement techniques like CMC, PVD, and stone columns.
- Develop, model, and validate soil-structure interaction.
- Analyze slope stability and design support systems.
- Predict ground movement and settlement for urban structures and assess associated risks.
- Propose instrumentation and monitoring schemes and review collected data.
- Prepare geotechnical and geological design specifications and criteria.
- Design sheet piles, combi walls, secant piles, and other retaining systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a premier institution (IITs/NITs/DTU)
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred)
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on design experience in heavy civil structures, including foundations, ground improvement, marine structures, and earth retention systems.
- Experience in geotechnical engineering software like Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, WALLAP, and GeoStudio (proficiency in Python scripting a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven report writing abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 1
