About the Role

As a DevOps Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our Travelers DE App by implementing and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices: This includes implementing chaos engineering on AWS services like EC2, EKS, and S3 to identify and mitigate potential failures.
  • Driving CI/CD pipelines: You will leverage tools like GitHub Actions to automate and streamline the software delivery process, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments.
  • Implementing Quality Gating: You will establish and enforce quality gates based on Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs), ensuring high availability and performance of the application.
  • Leveraging Python: You will utilize Python for scripting, automation, and other SRE tasks.
  • Mentoring and Guiding: You will guide and mentor junior team members on DevOps best practices and technologies.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering practices
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, EKS, and S3
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, specifically GitHub Actions
  • Experience with Quality Gating (SLI, SLO driven) using Site Reliability Guardian
  • Strong Python programming skills
