Job Purpose:
The Investment Banking Analyst will play a crucial role within the assigned sectoral coverage team. This position will involve supporting end-to-end execution across advisory (Private Equity & Mergers & Acquisitions) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) deals/transactions. Additionally, the Analyst is expected to actively contribute to business development initiatives and generate new mandates.
Key Deliverables:
- Develop comprehensive financial models and conduct in-depth valuation analyses.
- Analyze market data and identify relevant industry trends.
- Conduct thorough sector mapping and competitive landscaping.
- Prepare compelling client pitch documents and teasers.
- Effectively manage client relationships and transactions.
- Contribute to the successful execution of pitches, working closely with the Coverage Banker.
- Proactively identify and suggest potential deal opportunities through new and existing contacts.
Role Requirements:
- Education:
- MBA in Finance from a premier business school
- Chartered Accountancy (CA) with first attempt preferred
- IT Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Key Skills:
- Financial Modeling: Strong analytical and modeling skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators.
- Investment Banking: In-depth knowledge of investment banking processes, including M&A, IPOs, debt financing, and valuation methodologies.
- Pitch Books: Ability to create high-quality, persuasive pitch books and presentations.
- Market Research: Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret market data effectively.
