About the Role:
At Fairmont Mumbai, we’re passionate about providing exceptional experiences. As a Gym Instructor, you’ll play a key role in helping our guests achieve their fitness and wellness goals. You’ll provide personalized training, expert advice, and ensure a safe and motivating gym environment within our luxurious Spa & Wellness center.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Training:
- Conduct fitness assessments and design customized exercise programs.
- Lead individual and group training sessions, demonstrating proper techniques and ensuring safety.
- Monitor progress and adjust programs as needed.
- Guest Interaction:
- Provide outstanding customer service, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Offer expert advice on fitness, nutrition, and wellness.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Maintain gym equipment in excellent working condition.
- Ensure the gym is clean, organized, and equipment is stored properly.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce gym safety rules and guidelines.
- Conduct regular equipment safety checks.
- Provide first aid and emergency response as needed.
- Program Development:
- Develop and implement innovative fitness programs and classes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the spa team to provide a seamless guest experience.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized fitness organization (NASM, ACE, ACSM, etc.) – Required
- Diploma in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field – Preferred
- 2-3 years of experience as a Gym Instructor/Personal Trainer (luxury/wellness environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, program design, and equipment usage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to personalize training programs.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
