Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Understand client needs, participate in discussions, and drive clarity for effective project execution.
- System Design & Architecture: Design the overall data warehouse system, subsystems, and create detailed design documents.
- Project Lifecycle Engagement: Participate in all project phases, from requirements gathering to delivery and support.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Leverage the latest technologies (Azure Cloud, data warehousing, data analytics) and promote best practices within the team.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide team members, ensuring quality deliverables and skill development.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce data systems development best practices through processes, training, and reviews.
Qualifications:
- Strong Technical Expertise: 12-15 years of experience in data warehousing, with 5+ years in SQL Server and 2+ years in Azure data services.
- Technical Leadership: 5+ years of experience in leading technical teams and driving the design of large-scale systems.
- Hands-on Experience: Proven ability to both code and guide junior/mid-level engineers.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal) for client interaction.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in the financial domain, particularly with securities trading, is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FIS APIs, NoSQL databases (like MongoDB), and data visualization tools (like Power BI).
- Experience with open-source technologies and cloud-based reporting systems.
