Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Chartered Accountant to join our global finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial management of a leading company in the gems and jewellery sector, with potential for international exposure across Bangkok, Mumbai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. Key Responsibilities:
- Core Accounting Expertise: Manage and oversee core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and trial balances, to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
- Auditing & Compliance: Examine and evaluate financial systems, management procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and fraud prevention.
- Tax Management: Handle income tax, sales tax, GST, and service tax returns, as well as tax assessments and exemption-related benefits.
- Financial Planning & Budgeting: Develop and manage financial and cost budgets, analyze variances, and adjust budgets as necessary.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, ensuring efficient fund distribution and utilization.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Coordinate, advise, and supervise company structuring, including mergers, amalgamations, and restructuring.
- Debtors & Creditors Management: Maintain accurate registers for debtors, creditors, and expense sheets.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage financial teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and auditing.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proven experience in handling income tax, sales tax, GST, and service tax returns.
- Experience with financial and cost budgeting.
- Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
